Arch Enemy is a thrash-influenced melodic death metal band formed in 1996. Their lyrics are themed towards rebellion against contemporary society and religion. Arch Enemy, the brainchild of Michael Amott (ex-Carcass, Carnage and Spiritual Beggars) was originally assembled from the ashes of legendary British melodic death metal/grindcore band Carcass. Guitarists Michael Amott and younger brother Christopher Amott were joined by vocalist Johan Liiva (ex-Carnage) and then-session drummer Daniel Erlandsson (Armageddon, Eucharist) in what Michael Amott called "An attempt to merge melody with aggression and technicality." The band's debut, entitled Black Earth, was released by the now defunct Wrong Again Records in 1996. It obtained a fair amount of success in Japan, achieving MTV rotation with their first single "Bury Me An Angel", as well as moderate success in Sweden.

Exist To Exit Lyrics

Arch Enemy

Living in the shadows
Crawling in the dark
Another face - you will never see
Another voice - you will never hear

Erase my mortal shell
To feed my dying soul
Morbid glory shines on me
I will leave my mark

You will know
When I go
You will see
Exist to exit

Suicide - Escape oblivion
Kiss the blade of sharp, cold steel
The perfect day for my final exit
Hold your breath when I die

Art, action, reincarnation
Evolution through ritual death
Reborn as an infamous legend
Forever immortal, post-mortem fame
